My Work

My work in Social and Behavior Change (SBC) spans design, implementation, capacity building, gender integration, and communication.
I help programs turn evidence into action through creative, context-driven approaches.
From strategy development to field implementation, I focus on making behavior change practical and sustainable.
Each project here reflects a different piece of that process — grounded in collaboration, learning, and local insight.

Revised C-IYCF Counselling Package

UNICEF's Community-based Infant and Young Child Feeding Counselling Package is one of the most widely available resources for child nutrition around the world, and has been used in over 90 countries. I worked on a small team of SBC and nutrition professionals to revise the package, updating its contents to integrate elements of responsive care and feeding, IYCF in emergencies, and updated guidelines for counseling in individual and small-group settings.

UNICEF IYCF Digital Image Bank

I developed and managed the IYCF Digital Image Bank — a publicly available visual resource containing over 1,700 culturally adaptable images to support the UNICEF C-IYCF Counselling Package. The Image Bank helps implementers and artists worldwide create effective, accurate visual materials for nutrition communication. https://iycfimagebank.org

Photo To Illustration Guide

I authored this technical guide to help local artists and communication specialists create realistic, culturally relevant illustrations adapted from the UNICEF C-IYCF materials. The guide supports high-quality visual storytelling that reflects local contexts, enhancing the resonance and effectiveness of SBC materials in diverse settings. Photo To Illustration Guide

Community Approaches to Nutrition in Kyrgyzstan

I supported community-level SBC efforts through USAID Advancing Nutrition’s Kyrgyz Republic program, collaborating with the national Republican Center for Health Promotion to train and equip a network of local “activists.” These activists worked directly with households on topics including nutrition, hygiene, and gender equality to improve family health and nutrition outcomes. My role included developing training modules, counseling materials, and providing ongoing remote technical support to sustain quality implementation.

Gender Integration

I led the development of multiple gender strategies within USAID Advancing Nutrition and served as a technical lead for gender mainstreaming across program activities. This included facilitating headquarters-level and country team trainings on gender analysis, integration, and transformative approaches to nutrition programming. My work emphasized practical steps for embedding gender equity within SBC design and implementation processes.

Community Video

I contributed to the development and adaptation of the *Community Video for Nutrition and Hygiene* approach under the USAID SPRING project. This participatory method empowers communities to co-create videos featuring relatable local stories that model desired behaviors. I supported multiple efforts to integrate this approach into nutrition, hygiene, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture programming across several countries.
